Key Responsibilities

  • Intelligence Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyse open-source intelligence (OSINT) from a variety of public sources, including news articles, social media posts, and more, to pinpoint potential risks and threats.
  • Intelligence Product Development: Assist in crafting and refining intelligence products such as reports, briefings, and presentations. These documents are essential in communicating findings and recommendations to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Trend Monitoring: Keep a vigilant eye on relevant trends, events, and developments across specified industries or geographic regions to offer early warnings of emerging risks.
  • Research: Undertake detailed research and analysis on designated topics or areas of interest. This involves synthesising information from a plethora of sources to generate actionable intelligence.
  • Data Analysis: Engage with structured data to enhance analysis efforts, applying advanced tools and methodologies to extract meaningful insights.
  • Professional Development: Commit to staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices within the realm of intelligence analysis, actively pursuing learning and professional growth opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and customer success, to embed intelligence insights deeply into our product offerings and service delivery.

Requirements

  • Location: London-based, with 3 days at the office.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in an intelligence-related role.

Desirable Skill Set

  • Regional Expertise: Specialised knowledge in specific regions, offering nuanced understanding of geopolitical dynamics.
  • Educational Background: A degree in International Relations, Political Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Supplementary training in intelligence analysis is highly valued.
  • Language Proficiency: Mastery of foreign languages, enhancing the ability to gather and interpret intelligence from diverse sources.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with coding, particularly in Python and/or SQL, enabling sophisticated data analysis.

We are seeking candidates for both senior and junior positions within our team.

We are looking for an Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) researcher to bolster our expanding team. The ideal candidate would be an individual who thoroughly understands various open source intelligence techniques and web-based research, with an innate curiosity and investigative mindset. A fundamental trait for this role is a fervour for continual learning and staying at the cutting edge of this ever-evolving field of investigations.

Hours and Conditions

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, plus extra as required

Location: London, Office Based

Salary Bracket: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum

Reporting to: Partner or Senior Investigator

Responsibilities

▪ Data Collection; carry out open-source research in support of complex investigations.

▪ Analysis; Interpret, corroborate and grade information.

▪ Reporting; report relevant findings clearly and concisely, in support of the project objective.

▪ Any other duties that may reasonably be required.

Key Skills / Requirements

▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills▪ Curious and creative mindset with a willingness to keep up to date with the latest OSINT techniques, tools, and platforms and assisting in developing and refining our OSINT tools and methodologies.

▪ Previous experience in an OSINT research role would be advantageous.

▪ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a small team.

▪ Strong understanding of social media dynamics and web-based research.

▪ Positive attitude and willingness to commit the time required to meet deadlines.

For one of its institutional clients, Cronos Europa is looking for a Junior CYBER / OSINT Analyst to join their team in Brussels.

Your mission would entail :

  • Mapping of threat actors;
  • Monitoring of those mapped actors and the detection of disinformation incidents on an everyday basis;
  • Detection and study of technical means by which threat actors are conducting disinformation incidents;
  • Writing short and impactful alerts on disinformation incidents.

Requirements:

  • You have a strong interest in OSINT analysis
  • You are either already based in Brussels or willing to relocate to Belgium for the position
  • You are a natural born investigator
  • You easily adapt to changes
  • Being a part of a team in essential to you and to your working environment
  • You have an eagle eye for spotting typos

Even better if:

  • You are freshly graduated from Cybersecurity or Intel studies;
  • You are looking for a first transformational experience enabling you to develop the necessary skills in OSINT/ SOCMINT investigation to detect disinformation threats.
