About the function
As a (Junior) Open Source Intelligence Specialist (OSINT) at Team Digital Investigation (TDO) you will work at the frontline of research into harmful or illegal behavior of financial institutions. You will provide indispensable expertise and innovative techniques to discover and efficiently analyze useful digital information.
The OSINT professionals at TDO perform integrity and enforcement investigations to gain insight into the profile, conduct and relationships of companies or individuals. TDO uses advanced technology and methods to enrich signals and verify hypotheses. TDO strives to be a leader in the field of eDiscovery and OSINT in the financial sector. As an OSINT professional, you work in multidisciplinary teams of OSINT experts, eDiscovery specialists and supervisors on investigations for the AFM, you use advanced techniques and you carefully record your steps.
In addition, you will work on the continuous technological improvement of the infrastructure, support the delivery of workshops, guide colleagues in developing their research skills, and help set up work processes.
Your duties will also include:
- Supporting regulators in Open Source Intelligence and eDiscovery;
- Contribute to the implementation of new (technical) OSINT and intelligence methodologies to perform TDO's work more efficiently;
- Support in the management of the infrastructure and forensic ICT environment.
Interested?
This is what we ask:
⭐ A completed HBO or WO education (for example (investigative) journalism, criminology or computer science);
⭐ Strong affinity and experience with conducting (Open Source) intelligence investigations;
⭐ Preferably relevant experience, for example as an OSINT specialist at a supervisory authority, investigative agency, accounting firm or financial institution;
⭐ Experience with OSINT Software (Analyst's Notebook/Studio, Maltego, X1, Palantir) is a plus;
⭐ You follow relevant developments in the field of OSINT and you translate these into opportunities and threats for your work.

What we offer:
📄 You start with a one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment
💰 A gross annual salary between €60,000 and €80,000 (36 hours, incl. 13th month and holiday pay), depending on knowledge and experience
⏰ 36-hour working week, working days in consultation (e.g. 4x9)
