Open Source Intelligence Specialist (OSINT) - Uncovering discrepancies in insurance claims
Job Description
Are you analytically strong, digitally curious and have an eye for detail? Do you have experience finding and evaluating information from open sources? Then you might be the right person to strengthen our efforts against insurance claim fraud.
You will be part of a specialized team that works to uncover potential discrepancies in customer and claimant claims. Your work will help ensure fair and correct claims processing.
We are currently a department with 8 colleagues and a manager who work with solving and identifying fraud within the framework of Gjensidige's strategy. Our department is part of a larger Nordic unit, where we work closely with our colleagues in Norway and Sweden, respectively.
We need to expand our team with another committed and motivated colleague specializing in uncovering open source information (OSINT) to supplement our investigations.
You will be part of a strong and supportive team that values collaboration and professional pride.
Your primary tasks :
- Collect and analyze information from open sources such as social media, public registers and databases, and in this context be critical of sources and have an understanding of data verification
- Identify patterns, discrepancies and relevant information in relation to insurance claims
- Document and report findings in a structured and understandable manner
- Collaboration with investigators, claims handlers and legal advisors
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and internal guidelines
We expect you to have:
- Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience with OSINT methods and tools
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and typical types of fraud is an advantage
- Understanding of GDPR and personal data legislation
- Good IT skills and flair for digital tools
- «To be on» and have the skills to teach and train others in OSINT methods
- It is an advantage if you have experience with investigations of suspicious insurance events.
