Tech Against Terrorism disrupts terrorist and violent extremist activity online, working with the UN, tech platforms, democratic governments and civil society. Our Terrorist Content Analytics Platform (TCAP) has alerted more than 130 platforms to over 30,000 pieces of terrorist content.

We're hiring a Senior OSINT Analyst to lead the investigations that shape how our partners understand the threat. You'll set the direction of your own work, decide where the team's effort is best spent, and help develop the analysts around you.
‍

What you'll do

  • Lead complex and sensitive OSINT and SOCMINT investigations hands-on, from collection plan to predictive assessment
  • Direct collection priorities for other analysts, including across TCAP
  • Write high-quality reporting for governments and platforms, and quality-check others' work
  • Respond in real time to terrorist incidents with an online component, including as part of our on-call rota
  • Lead funded projects end to end and contribute to proposals for new work
  • Test and adopt new tools and techniques with QuantSpark's technical teams, and advise colleagues on OPSEC and ethics
  • Quality-check others' reporting, and coach analysts to produce work as strong as your own
  • Represent TAT with governments, platforms and at conferences
  • Become the team's expert in a threat area or region, and design and deliver OSINT training
    ‍

What you'll bring

  • Typically 3 to 6 years in OSINT, including leading investigations or projects
  • Excellent intelligence writing and use of analytical techniques such as BLUF, ACH, the Probability Yardstick and risk matrices
  • Knowledge of TVE use of the internet, or of other online harms
  • Experience guiding, reviewing or training others' work, formally or informally
  • Polished, confident communication with senior and external audiences
    ‍

Nice to have: incident response experience, project or product management, specialist knowledge of a threat area or region, experience delivering training, or a background in OSINT tooling or data analysis.
‍

We can only take forward applications that show:

  • Full right to work in the UK (we can't offer visa sponsorship)
  • Willingness to join our on-call rota, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Professional experience working with graphic, violent or distressing content

You'll also need to pass a police check and SC-level security clearance, which typically requires five years' continuous UK residency immediately before applying.
‍

What we offer

  • £6,000 annual training budget
  • A clear OSINT career framework, so you can see what progression looks like
  • One month a year working from abroad
  • Vitality private healthcare and fully funded therapy sessions
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, 5 extra days for joining the on-call rota, and an allowance for every weekend or bank holiday on call
  • Trauma-specific support and training, backed by our Operational Security and Duty of Care policies
  • Team events, wellbeing perks and a cycle to work scheme
