Southeast Jutland Police is looking for an OSINT employee for the intelligence and analysis unit in the Police Staff.

Then you might be the Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) employee we are looking for.

About the position

As an OSINT employee in the South East Jutland Police, you will be part of a professionally strong team in our Intelligence and Analysis Unit, which works to collect, analyze and assess information from open sources to support the police's operational and strategic work.

You will play a central role in contributing insights that can make a real difference in efforts against crime and threats to society.

We work at the intersection of technology, analysis and intelligence – and we are looking for someone who thrives on diving into complex amounts of information, but can also see the big picture.

Your tasks

• Collect and analyze data and information from open sources, including social media, online forums, databases and websites
• Prepare local threat assessments
• Structure and evaluate information in order to create usable intelligence products
• Identify digital trends, actors and networks in relevant environments
• Work closely with analysts, investigators and operational units
• Contribute to the development of methods, tools and procedures within the OSINT area

We expect you to

• Can be security cleared and maintain this throughout the entire employment
• Has relevant education or experience within information retrieval, data analysis, intelligence, social sciences, journalism or IT
• Has a solid understanding of the structures of the internet, social media and information
• Works structured and systematically – also under time pressure
• Can translate complex findings into clear and applicable conclusions
• Has ethical awareness and can handle confidential information with discretion

Salary and employment conditions

If you have an academic background, you will be employed on collective agreement terms in accordance with the current agreement between the Ministry of Finance and academics in the state.

If you have a different educational background, you will be employed on collective agreement terms in accordance with the current organizational agreement for office workers in the state between the Ministry of Finance and HK/STAT and the OAO-S collective agreement. Alternatively, you will be employed on another relevant collective agreement.

This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week. Your workplace will be at the Main Police Station in Horsens, Holmboe Alle 2, 8700 Horsens, but it must also be expected that work will periodically have to be carried out at other stations in the district.

It is a prerequisite for employment that you can be security cleared, and you must be able to maintain the security clearance throughout your employment.

Entry into the position will be by further agreement.
