The Berlin Police – State Criminal Police Office 5 , is seeking to fill several positions as soon as possible, on a permanent basis.
OSINT Analysts with Special Investigative Tasks (m/f/d)
– one position with Arabic language skills
– one position preferably with Persian language skills

Working hours: Full-time with 39.4 hours per week (part-time employment may be possible)

These tasks await you…
- They deal with the event-related research of public and publicly accessible phenomenon-/crime-related internet content,
- They document the research results in a legally sound and admissible manner and represent them appropriately (e.g., as a witness in court).
- They appropriately direct the relevant insights gained to the relevant stakeholders,
- They support police operations by providing live monitoring of public sources.
- They analyze online communication behavior on phenomena-relevant internet presences,
- They identify users behind accounts and operators of websites and can potentially geolocate the users.
- They prepare evaluation reports and, if necessary, presentations.
- They will provide support to other departments in internet-related matters
and - They participate in training and further education programs.
Your profile
They have a completed Bachelor's degree in the field of social or political sciences or a comparable course of study.
In addition to the formal requirements, they possess…
- Knowledge of OSINT and SOCMINT methods, as well as a willingness to continuously learn new things;
- Basic knowledge of internet data traffic (e.g., the meaning of an IP address);
- German language proficiency at least C1 level;
- Secure text comprehension and understanding of content in Arabic or secure text comprehension and understanding of content in Persian,
- Interest in geopolitical, social and economic issues in order to identify relevant trends and developments and
- Experience with analysis and evaluation software is desirable.

- Stress resistance and psychological resilience in dealing with the most serious violent crimes, as well as personal stress management,
- strong analytical skills and solution-oriented work, as well as a high level of service orientation,
- a high degree of stamina, resilience, reliability, independence and organizational thinking, as well as a willingness to perform,
- Your willingness to be on call and also outside office hours on weekends and public holidays, and, if necessary, to work on a needs-based basis, putting private interests aside, and
- Your willingness to work overtime, if necessary on a needs-based basis and taking into account the priority of official matters.
To perform these duties, a security clearance (SÜ 2) is required. A prerequisite for this is continuous primary residence in the Federal Republic of Germany for the past 5 years.
