Position: Intelligence Analyst (1099 Independent Contractor)

The Role

We’re seeking an Intelligence Analyst to turn complex data into clear, action-ready insights. You’ll support clients with open-source intelligence (OSINT), social-media/threat monitoring, and strategic research to provide situational awareness concerning threats to people, property, organizations and reputation.

What You’ll Do

• OSINT & Social Media: Collect, verify, and preserve open-source data across platforms; monitor threat indicators; archive with defensible methods (screenshots, metadata, hashes, URLs, capture timestamps).
• Data & Link Analysis: Map relationships, events, and communications
• Threat & Risk Briefs: Draft concise situation reports/daily briefings and intelligence summaries with key judgments, confidence levels, and source evaluation.
• Work Product: Deliver polished memos, visual aids, reports and alerts.
• Presentation: Provide monthly intelligence briefings to stakeholders in person or via video conference.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in intelligence analysis, investigations and OSINT.
• Strong writing: ability to clearly articulate threats and write concise analysis products.
• Proficiency with common OSINT workflows (advanced search operators, archive services, metadata capture, social-graphing basics).
• Comfortable handling sensitive material; impeccable discretion and chain-of-custody discipline.
• Availability to hit deadlines and handle urgent turnarounds

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Familiarity withgeolocation context, and mapping tools (Google Earth, QGIS basics).
• Exposure to tools such as Everbridge, Digitalstakeout, IRB Search and more.
• Background in Intelligence Analysis

Compliance & Security

• Willing to sign NDA and confidentiality agreement.
• Pass background check as requested by OLS or clients.
• Use secure storage and encrypted communications per OLS policy.
• Contractor maintains own equipment, software, and cyber hygiene.

Logistics

• Location: Remote within the U.S.; preference for Kentucky/Ohio time zones. Limited travel may be requested but is not typical for this role.
• Engagement: 1099 contractor; contractor provides own tools, insurance, and taxes. No promise of hours; workload varies by caseload.
