About the job
We are looking for a full-time FIMI Trends Analyst who combines strong individual research and writing skills with an editorial mindset. Beyond producing their own intelligence products, this person will take responsibility for the quality of the team's output as a whole - reviewing reports and threat assessments written by other analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Track the evolving FIMI (Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference) and disinformation landscape, identifying emerging trends, narratives, and tactics across open sources and social media.
- Extract, synthesize, and prioritize relevant information from large and fragmented datasets to develop a coherent intelligence picture.
- Produce high-quality written analytical products in a variety of formats, ranging from short, time-sensitive reports to comprehensive threat assessments.
- Review and edit reports and threat assessments produced by fellow analysts, ensuring analytical rigor, accurate sourcing, clarity, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines.
- Provide structured and constructive feedback to analysts to strengthen both their analytical thinking and written communication.
- Ensure the consistent application of analytical and data frameworks across team outputs, identifying and addressing deviations from agreed standards and methodologies.
Profile requirements
- Demonstrated interest in FIMI and disinformation, supported by academic studies, professional experience, or personal engagement in the field.
- Excellent English writing and editing skills, with the ability both to create polished analytical products and critically assess the work of others.
- Strong analytical mindset, capable of extracting, synthesizing, and prioritizing information from complex, incomplete, or ambiguous data sources.
- Practical experience applying data frameworks within an analytical environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and meet tight deadlines when required.
Desired Assets
While not required, the following qualifications would be considered an advantage:
- Proven experience in producing published or publicly available written work, or previous experience in a comparable analytical role.
- Prior experience serving as an editor, reviewer, or quality assurance resource for analytical content.
- Familiarity with the STIX (Structured Threat Information Expression) language.
- Interest in contributing to a collaborative analytical environment focused on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
