Senior Intelligence Analyst – SCIC
Job Description
Location: Flexible (Central London EC2M / Byfleet KT14 bases)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Primarily Monday to Friday, alongside hours and location subject to operational requirement & taskings.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Intelligence Analyst within the Security Coordination and Intelligence Centre (SCIC), you will be pivotal in the delivery of threat intelligence services across a diverse customer base in the UK and Ireland. Reporting to the Head of SCIC Operations you will be responsible for leading the production of actionable intelligence products, conducting horizon scanning, and advising on protective security measures to mitigate emerging or evolving threats.
This role is for an experienced intelligence analysis professional who is looking to continue their career pathway in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be a key champion of intelligence-led solutions and decision making. This role demands agility, analytical depth, and a strong understanding of the UK, EMEA, and global threat landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the collection, validation, and analysis of multi-source intelligence to identify threats to clients’ people, assets, and operations.
- Produce and oversee high-quality intelligence products including threat assessments, incident reports, strategic briefings, and thematic analysis.
- Conduct horizon scanning and predictive assessments to inform proactive security planning.
- Support live incident response with real-time intelligence and situational awareness.
- Deliver intelligence briefings to internal stakeholders and external clients, including senior leadership.
- Lead, maintain and develop intelligence capabilities across the organisation.
- Lead and mentor analysts within the team and contribute to the continuous professional development pathway within the SCIC and organisation.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, internal policies, and client confidentiality requirements.
Key Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in intelligence analysis, ideally within law enforcement, military, government, or private sector security.
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence principles, including the intelligence cycle, threat actor profiling, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in OSINT tools, social media exploitation, and structured analytical techniques both as an operator and leading in these capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce concise, impactful reports and briefings.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and prioritise threats, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing threat environments.
Desirable:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Intelligence, Security Studies, International Relations, or a related field.
- Experience supporting protective security operations or travel risk management.
- Familiarity with strategic analysis, broader geopolitical issues, and global threat trends.
