OSINT Jobs is recruiting a Senior Digital Investigation Analyst for Protection Group International (PGI) in London.

NOTE: This role is open to candidates with an existing right to work in the UK. PGI does not offer visa sponsorship for this position.

About PGI's Digital Investigations Team

PGI's Digital Investigations Team works with social media platforms, governments, and non-profit organisations to help them understand and navigate digital threats. The team operates at the cutting edge of digital threat and online harm, helping clients detect incidents and respond to them. They pair innovative technology with deep knowledge of social media and online infrastructure. Their focus goes beyond the platforms themselves. They analyse the behaviour and intent of those who use them for adversarial outcomes, and of the people those actors target.

What you'll be doing:

  • Report to the Head of Department
  • Identify and track malign campaigns
  • Research and attribute information operations
  • Investigate state and non-state threat actors
  • Map and assess novel TTPs and behaviours
  • Deploy in-house technical capability on investigations
  • Produce concise and contextualised threat reporting
  • Client management, engagement, interaction and presentations

What you need

  • Fluent Russian, to native or near-native standard, with the ability to read and analyse source material without translation tools
  • Strong track record researching information operations: attribution, network analysis, and assessing coordinated inauthentic behaviour
  • Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of the Russian-language information environment
  • Practical OSINT tradecraft, with the discipline to run several assignments at once and deliver to standard on deadline
  • The ability to write clearly for clients who are not analysts, and to defend your assessment when challenged
  • Demonstrated experience of managing, mentoring and training others
  • Curiosity and persistence in equal measure: you follow a thread until it resolves, and you know the difference between a lead worth chasing and a dead end worth abandoning
  • A collaborative investigator, comfortable working a case alongside other professionals, and willing to have your assessment tested by colleagues
  • Sound operational security judgement when working on sensitive cases
  • Comfort working across large datasets, with the technical literacy to use investigation tooling and query platform data

Why join PGI?

  • A diverse and challenging workload across multiple complex projects and investigations
  • A collaborative and supportive team at the forefront of this sphere
  • Clients who get what we do and offer us genuine innovation opportunities
  • A meritocratic environment that promotes career progression and development
  • Niche training to support niche skill sets
  • Hybrid working (2 days at the London office) which allows you to strike the perfect work-life balance

Benefits at PGI

When you join PGI, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive range of employee benefits, including:

  • Performance related bonus
  • Life Assurance – 4x your annual salary
  • £45 Monthly cost of living voucher
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus all standard UK public holidays.
  • Vitality Healthcare
  • Annual eye care support
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Subsidised gym membership
  • Winter flu vaccination

How the hiring process works

This is a three-stage process.

Stage one is a capture the flag (CTF) assessment. OSINT Jobs runs and marks it. It tests the tradecraft this role requires, so your score decides the shortlist.

To apply: click Apply, create an account, then take the "Info Ops | Recruitment CTF".

We then present shortlisted candidates who hold the right to work in the UK to PGI directly.

Stages two and three sit with PGI, who run their own assessment and interview process from that point.
