What are you going to do?

Are you fascinated by the power of open sources and do you want to contribute to the national security of the Netherlands?

As an OSINT Specialist in the Special Services Section of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, you'll use your expertise to extract reliable intelligence from a tangle of online information. Your analyses and advice will help the Marechaussee, the AIVD, and the MIVD make truly important decisions at both the national and international levels.

What will you be doing?
As an OSINT Specialist, you'll work within the Special Services Section of the Intelligence Division. You'll research and analyze digital information from open sources and translate it into usable intelligence products. This allows you to play a key role in the security of the Netherlands.

Your duties include:

  • Monitoring news and social media channels and developments within the OSINT field.
  • Independently handling complex information requests.
  • Testing information for reliability and evaluating its value.
  • Enriching intelligence products with OSINT data.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and report collected information.
  • Prepare and participate in the weekly operational meeting.
  • Maintaining substantive control over new and ongoing research within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the further development of OSINT within the Special Services Section and advise on its deployment.

Who are we looking for?

Required:

  • Demonstrable experience with complex and disruptive operations within the intelligence and security domain.
  • HBO working and thinking level (assessment can be part of the selection procedure).
  • Experience with OSINT activities.
  • Experience within the security domain.
  • Ability to work independently.


Desired:

  • Experience in the intelligence and security domain.
  • Affinity with social media and the broader OSINT field.
  • Interest in social and international security issues.
