NOTE: This is an in-person position based on the East Coast Mid-Atlantic area. The position is NOT in Maryland or the Washington DC area.
About SITE: SITE Intelligence Group is a leading provider of terrorist and violent extremist open-source intelligence and reporting. SITE experts continuously monitor online terrorist/extremist forums for threat content and producing descriptive alerts and intelligence reports.
The Position: SITE is hiring a Spanish speaking experienced OSINT analyst to track and monitor Transnational Criminal Organization online communities, translate to English, and write alerts and reports on violent extremism. The ideal candidate will also have enthusiasm to grow their expertise with each report they edit and develop expertise in their field.
Required qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish
- Experience with social media monitoring and OSINT investigations
- Experience conducting analysis of transnational criminal networks
- Ability to produce concise, efficiently worded prose
- Familiarity with AP style writing and journalistic writing conventions
- Ability to separate noise from critical information, per the needs of SITE’s customers
- Readiness to communicate edits with SITE’s writers in a patient, constructive manner when necessary
Preferred qualifications:
- Professional or educational background in social media monitoring, risk analysis, intelligence, journalism, criminal investigations, or a field related to terrorism and criminal organizations
- Experience producing reports based on OSINT investigations for a government agency, news outlet, think tank, research organization, or similar entity
- Fluency on additional languages
