Job Description

Veolia is a world leader in environmental services (water, waste, energy). To anticipate market and technological developments, the Group relies on strategic information analysis to guide its innovation and growth decisions. The Innovation & Technology Intelligence team monitors technological, competitive, and market developments and transforms this information into useful analyses for decision-makers. This internship will allow you to contribute directly to this work and develop concrete skills in technological and market intelligence.

You will join the Strategy, Innovation and Development Department (DSID), which drives the Group's major strategic directions and innovation. Within this department, the "Innovation & Technology Intelligence" team supports entities and Business Units in their innovation and growth projects and conducts technological and market analyses using data from open sources (OSINT) and specialized databases.


Missions :

Supporting the team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Competitive and technological intelligence: Participation in multi-source monitoring (web, patents, media, social networks, scientific publications) to detect technological developments, competitive movements, and weak market signals.
  • Market mapping and analysis: Data collection and structuring via open sources (OSINT) and specialized databases to map competitive ecosystems and contribute to market segmentation analyses.
  • Corporate profiling: Research, verification and synthesis of financial, operational and technological data on target companies to support pre-partnership analyses,
  • Technology scouting and partner identification: Identifying emerging technologies and sourcing potential partners in the innovation ecosystem (startups, laboratories, institutes) to strengthen the Group's competitiveness.

We are offering a 6-month internship starting in March 2026.


Qualifications


You are looking for your final internship, and are preparing a degree at a school specializing in Economic Intelligence: European School of Economic Intelligence, School of Economic Warfare,
or equivalent programs.

  • Information retrieval (OSINT): good foundation in
    open-source research, ability to exploit and cross-reference diverse sources
  • Use of AI and LLM tools: strong interest in AI and large language models
  • First experience using it for searching, extracting, or synthesizing information
  • Proficiency or good grasp of data visualization tools, ability to produce usable graphs and dashboards
  • French C1 - Fluent
  • English C1 - Fluent
  • Rigour and attention to detail
  • Ability to verify and cross-check information
  • Evaluate the reliability of sources and ensure the quality of analyses
  • Intellectual curiosity and adaptability
  • Interest in technology and innovation, rapid adaptability to new tools
  • Organization and progressive autonomy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, respect for deadlines


We offer an internship allowance equal to or greater than the legal minimum.
