Internship - CTI OSINT Analyst (M/F)
Job Description
Lexfo , a subsidiary of the Forward Global group , is an auditing firm providing comprehensive technical expertise in cybersecurity . With a team of around one hundred expert and passionate professionals, Lexfo works with numerous clients to ensure vulnerability detection and exploitation, data breach investigation, security incident response, and training.
As part of our efforts to strengthen our Cyber Threat Intelligence and OSINT capabilities, we are offering a final-year internship focused on two key areas: the development of investigative tools and the performance of practical analyses. This internship provides the opportunity to work on diverse topics combining technical expertise, investigation, and development, within a team of cybersecurity experts.
Missions
Tool development and automation:
- Design and develop automation tools for OSINT data collection and analysis.
- Improve and enrich our existing CTI tool stack (scrapers, parsers, connectors...).
- Develop automation scripts for data enrichment and correlation.
- Integrate threat intelligence sources and optimize analysis workflows.
- Contribute to the creation of dashboards and visualizations to facilitate data exploitation.
CTI/OSINT investigations and analyses:
- Conduct OSINT investigations on various topics (data leaks, malicious infrastructure, attack campaigns...).
- Collect, analyze and correlate indicators of compromise (IoC).
- Conduct research on emerging threats and attacker groups (APTs, ransomware, etc.).
- Analyze attack infrastructures and trace malicious actors.
- Participate in investigations as part of incident response.
Production of deliverables:
- Write investigation reports and technical analysis notes.
- Document the tools developed (user guides, technical documentation, etc.).
- Contribute to internal or external publications (blog, advisories...) as opportunities arise.
- Present the results of your work to the team.
Monitoring and skills development:
- Conduct technological monitoring of OSINT/CTI tools, techniques and methodologies.
- Participate in discussions and knowledge sharing with the team.
- Discover how a cybersecurity firm operates and its various activities.
- Develop expertise in threat intelligence and OSINT.
Your profile
- You are preparing for a Master 2 (or equivalent Bac +5) in cybersecurity, computer science, networks or a related field.
- You are proficient in Python and ideally have knowledge of other languages such as Go or JavaScript.
- You have a strong interest in Cyber Threat Intelligence, OSINT and digital investigation.
- You have knowledge related to network protocols, operating systems and databases.
- You are familiar with cybersecurity concepts (malware, attack infrastructures, IoC, TTP).
- You demonstrate technical curiosity and have the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- You know how to document your work and produce clear analyses.
- You are autonomous, rigorous and capable of conducting investigations from start to finish.
- Prior experience in CTI/OSINT (personal, academic, CTF, bug bounty) is an asset.
- You speak French and English fluently .
Contracted internship of a duration of 6 months available in Paris - 43 Avenue de Clichy, 75017 or Lyon - 20 rue de la Villette, 69003 (no alternating internship or alternating internship).
