This makes you unique

  • University degree, for example in political science, humanities or computer science
  • Experience and affinity with the web world, social networks and online technologies
  • Discreet, curious personality with high initiative, willing to work in a constantly changing field between information technologies and information analysis
  • Further knowledge such as languages (Russian, Chinese, Arabic, etc.) and/or IT programming are a real advantage
  • Swiss citizenship, impeccable reputation and no criminal record

As an Intelligence Specialist OSINT intern, you will conduct targeted internet research, combining your technical and analytical skills. You will thus contribute to the assessment of security policy issues in the various areas of interest of the Federal Intelligence Service.

The Federal Intelligence Service (FIS) detects and combats terrorism, violent extremism, espionage, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems, and cyberattacks on critical infrastructure. In Switzerland and abroad, it researches and analyzes information of central importance to our country's security policy. It thus makes a crucial contribution to the overall assessment of the situation by the political authorities.

The FIS works primarily for the Federal Council and the federal departments. It also supports the cantons in maintaining internal security and the federal law enforcement authorities.

Additional Information

The internship is limited to 6 months. You must have completed your studies no more than 12 months ago. Stays abroad, military or civilian service, and maternity leave are not taken into account (max. 12 months). You must also not have previously completed an internship in the Federal Administration.
