👉 Head of Investigations – Reality Check Unit, Intel Focus
About the role:
The Head of Investigation leads Intel Focus’ Reality Check Unit, steering verification and OSINT-driven projects from pitch to publication. You will manage the investigation pipeline, develop people, and set a high editorial bar while keeping a flexible, experiment-friendly culture.
Responsibilities:
▪️ Manage and coordinate investigations within the Reality Check Unit
▪️ Review, edit, and quality-assure reports so they are publication-ready
▪️ Share practical tips and guidance to build team skills and confidence
▪️ Work with coordination and social media leads to plan timely releases
▪️ Maintain clear editorial standards while encouraging innovation
▪️ Identify training needs and organise knowledge-sharing
Requirements:
▪️ Minimum commitment of 10–15 hours per month
▪️ Strong command of English. Other languages are a plus
▪️ Proven OSINT, verification, or investigative experience
▪️ Editing and report review experience preferred
▪️ Confident at managing tasks and people. Prior leadership helps
▪️ Preferably Berlin-based, though remote applicants are welcome
