Developers for PET's OSINT department
Job Description
Do you want to help find extremists, terrorists and spies online? Do you want to work in a dynamic and exciting world where no two days are the same? Are you familiar with concepts such as web scraping, reverse engineering, web traffic inspection, or perhaps Java, Kubernetes, database management, React etc.?
About the job
If you can answer yes to the above, then we offer a central role within technical Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) in PET. In our team, we work to identify, collect, filter and present information from all available Open Source sources. We generate products that can be used either directly or in conjunction with other source material and work closely with analysts and investigators in support of our core task; to look after Denmark, the Kingdom of Denmark and Danish interests abroad.
We offer a dynamic operational environment with committed and dedicated colleagues, with an informal tone and a good working environment. You will be part of a competent and specialized section with a high level of ambition, and where there is continuous work on improving methods, skills, tools and processes. Our task is to find ways to collect, organize and present Open Source data so that it becomes useful for our users. This requires both technical expertise and creativity, as we constantly have to find new solutions to handle the challenges posed by different data sources.
It's exciting to work with data from an unpredictable world where we never know what we'll encounter. It requires us to be flexible, curious, and always open to learning new things to transform chaos into understandable information.
Have a day that never becomes a day
As an employee at PET, you become part of a day that is characterized by tasks that are not found anywhere else, and every day offers new challenges that did not exist yesterday. We are very different, and that is why we can make a difference. It is about who you are and what you contribute.
Although our work is characterized by the seriousness of the higher purpose, the tone is informal, and you will experience a unique unity across departments and disciplines. We have a daily routine that never becomes everyday, and you can have that too.
