Job Description
The Ministry of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia is looking for a speaker (m/f/d) for Department 615 - Open Source Intelligence -
“IT and Cyber Competence Center in the Office for the Protection of the Constitution”.
Your tasks:
- They design, implement and evaluate methodological and technical processes for obtaining and securing information relevant to the protection of the constitution from publicly accessible data sources
- You will take into account the organizational and technical requirements of the departments in order to develop needs-based solutions for online research
- You will design, coordinate and manage IT projects in the areas of online research, internet monitoring as well as data backup and provision
- You will work on projects in interdisciplinary teams with specialist departments, data scientists/analysts, system administrators and lawyers to process data in a legally compliant and needs-based manner.
- You will perform technical and personnel management tasks.
Circle of applicants:
You have completed a university degree with a master's degree or equivalent with a focus on computer science, data science, statistics or mathematics.
Alternatively, you have a master's degree or equivalent in media studies or communication studies with a technical focus.
This job advertisement is also aimed at civil servants in career group 2, the second entry-level position in a specialty career (technical services) with the above-mentioned degree, who hold a position in salary group up to A 14 LBesO A (or comparable salary scales of the federal government or other federal states) or comparable employees covered by collective agreements. The position will be classified in salary group 13 TV-L.
This is you:
- Relevant experience in the field of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) is desirable
- Relevant knowledge in the areas of web technology, data science, scripting languages, database systems, Linux and IT security is also advantageous.
