Asia Analyst (Remote) – Corporate Due Diligence & Business Intelligence
Job Description
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Investigative Analyst to join our corporate due diligence and business intelligence team. The successful candidate will conduct complex investigations across Asia, applying open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques and critical analysis to uncover connections, assess reputational risks, and provide clear, evidence-based insights to clients. This is a remote role but it is preferred for the individual to be located in Asia.
Responsibilities
- Conduct deep-dive OSINT investigations into companies, individuals, and networks across Asia.
- Identify and analyze connections between shareholders, beneficial owners, affiliates, and politically exposed persons (PEPs).
- Gather and assess information from corporate filings, litigation records, media, social media, and other public domain sources.
- Develop concise, well-structured written reports that synthesize complex findings into clear, actionable intelligence.
- Monitor and interpret political, regulatory, and commercial developments relevant to client interests.-Work collaboratively with senior analysts and project managers on multi-jurisdictional investigations.
Requirements
- Extremely high attention to detail, professional integrity, and a curiosity-driven mindset.
- Strong command of OSINT methods and comfort working with public records, databases, and social media.-2+ years of experience in investigative research, due diligence, or a related field (e.g., journalism, risk consulting, or compliance).
- Demonstrated ability to connect disparate information points into a coherent analytical narrative.
- Excellent English writing and analytical skills; ability to convey findings with clarity and precision.
- Familiarity with corporate structures, beneficial ownership, and political exposure in Asia.
- Fluency in English and at least one Asian language preferred (Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Malay, Chinese, or other).
Preferred Background
Experience in reputational due diligence, investigative research, or business intelligence consulting within Asia is strongly preferred.
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $2,000 - $4,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
