Tadaweb is a scale-up technology company providing an open-source intelligence (OSINT) platform that magnifies the impact of investigative and analytical teams. Over the past 10 years, Tadaweb has become a leader in the collection and enrichment of information to effectively scale analysts’ impact. Our SaaS platform follows ethical principles, only relying on publicly available information.

We are looking for a Director to lead our Canadian business.

Scope of work:

You will be responsible for sales and customer success with public sector customers in Canada. Your direct team includes a manager who leads a team of Information Ninjas (Tadaweb’s OSINT tradecraft experts) and a Business Development Manager. Tadaweb has a strong business in Canada, with a positive reputation from which we can grow further into the public sector, and enter the corporate market. You will report to the executive team in Luxembourg HQ. You will collaborate with the Directors of the French and Canadian markets, the Head of Product, Head of OSINT Advisory, and other members of the executive team, as we transition from start-up to scale-up. You will be (or become) a recognised voice in Canada on open source intelligence with the credibility and network to position Tadaweb as the strategic choice firstly for the public sector, and then corporate markets.

Your profile:

  • Depth of experience in the national security community, ideally having worked in both the public and private sector
  • Strong network of senior public sector decision makers, and knowledge of public sector procurement in Canada.
  • Depth of understanding of how the public safety and national security community in Canada is organised and the technology challenges they face.
  • Knowledge of open source intelligence, wider intelligence disciplines, cyber or law enforcement
  • Passionate about developing, managing and scaling teams, with experience as a manager of managers.
  • You will have a competitive desire to win, and act with the principles of integrity and honesty
  • You will be required to attain a security clearance for this role, and must be familiar with formal responsibilities for liaison with the relevant authorities
  • Fluent in English: this is also the standard language in our international company

Note whilst this is a sales and customer success role, we would definitely consider applicants with less commercial experience offset by very strong knowledge of the public sector.

You get bonus points if you have any of the following:

  • Senior sales leadership expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of the commercial ecosystem including system integrators, cloud solution providers, consultants, advisors, trade associations, etc.
  • Fluent in French (as well as English)
  • Management experience in a mid-cap or large enterprise, and /or a rapidly growing tech company
  • Previous work experience in the production of intelligence in the public or private sectors.
  • Track record of developing creative go-to-market plans
  • Technologist with an understanding of the information domain
  • Work experience as an intelligence analyst
  • Enjoy drinking a good beer or glass of wine :-)

This role will be based in the Tadaweb Ottawa office with some initial training requiring travel to Europe to meet colleagues and learn the role, the duration of this will be agreed based on your profile and experience.
